I saw the trailer around the time that I watched Crazy Rich Asians and I thought it looked cute; big bonus being that it was filmed here in Toronto, lol. My friend and I were in the mood for a rom-com so we decided to check it out, lol.
Okay, so I’m usually pretty slow in watching movies that are just released and whatnot, but I just had to see this movie (and so did my mum–so it became a family event). I still remembered much of the basic plot of this story from the book (review) so I was curious to see how they adapted it.
I love The Thick of It and In the Loop (review) so when I found out that Armando Iannucci made a movie about Soviet Russia–and you know me, I studied Soviet Russian history and all–I just had to watch it.
T’Challa, the King of Wakanda, rises to the throne in the isolated, technologically advanced African nation, but his claim is challenged by a vengeful outsider who was a childhood victim of T’Challa’s father’s mistake.
At last, I got around to watching Black Panther (funnily enough on the same day as Spider-man: Homecoming; talk about different movies tonally) right before I went on vacation, lol. How I did that whilst packing and taking care of other things, I don’t know. But here we are. And, as always, SPOILERS if you haven’t seen the movie yet!
Okay, so this is the third iteration of Spider-Man and granted I was not initially interested in watching because it’s been through how many versions. I watched the Tobey Maguire version, never saw Andrew Garfield’s version (meant to get around to it but just never did). And of course I grew up with the weekday afternoon cartoon. So when I watched him appear in civil war, I thought to make it a point to check out his solo outing and after watching Infinity War, I finally did. SPOILERS if you haven’t seen the movie yet!
