Clean Your Reader hosted by Entomology of a Bookworm
I was planning on scaling back on reading challenges, book blog tours, etc. as part of some reorganising I’m doing for this year, but I love the concept of this reading challenge hosted by Entomology of a Bookworm. I amassed quite a number of eBooks last year (darn you, eBook sales at every holiday and long weekend 😛 ) and with my TBR pile ballooning the way it did (and the book buying ban I’ve placed myself in for the first quarter of the year), it’s high time I start reading them. So for the the month of January, I will be reading some of those eBooks that have been sitting and waiting to be read 🙂 Just to get the ball rolling, I’m answering some of the questions posed on the sign-up post:
What’s your e-reader of choice?
I’ve been using a Kobo Touch for the last three years. It’s been very handy, but it’s also been a recent pain in my butt as it’s been acting up considerably last year (my family’s teasing me that I’ve been using it too much. Hmm). It’s working fine right now though (probably because I flirted with the idea of buying a new one over Boxing Week xP)
What e-books or e-book deals are you incapable of saying no to?
Sometimes Kobo hosts some awesome long weekend deals featuring titles from the big publishers; at CAD$4.99 for recent bestsellers or well-reviewed books, why not? Oh, and those $1.99/$2.99 deals from Orbit Books. Great way to start reading new fantasy and sci-fi titles that have been on my wishlist for ages 🙂
How many e-books are you going to try to tackle in January?
I won’t set a number or which books in particular, just to keep things casual. Okay, okay, maybe 4? 5? Depends on my mood? *blushes* We’ll see! 🙂
And that’s about it! I’ll keep track of the books I read for this reading challenge using the tag (shiny new tag here) and will post a wrap-up at the end of the month as to how I did 🙂 This should be fun!
